Remembering Ray Kloss
The Indy Bass Hustlers long time member and current Sportsman of the Year award winner Ray Kloss lost his battle with cancer this week. He passed peacefully with friends and family the morning of March 12th. Ray served two tours as a Marine Battle Sgt. in the Vietnam war. Ray was always a pleasure to have in the boat and willing to lend a hand whenever needed. Ray loved the outdoors and was never shy to share hunting or fish tales. Ray was a good fisherman and a great man. His presence will be greatly missed at all of the Indy Bass Hunter meetings and tournaments. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marlene Kloss; daughter Traci (Kevin) Thomson; granddaughter Ashley Thomson; sister Marge (Ron) Clapper; brothers Jim (Sandy) Kloss, Chuck (Lena) Kloss, Scott Kloss and Ryan Kloss; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday March 15th from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S. State Rd. 135 Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Funeral Services will be held Monday March 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
